I am part of my local quilt guild and back in October 2024 they held a quilt show. Members were allowed to submit their quilts to be in the show, something I had never done before! I had a bit of imposter syndrome, thinking my quilt would look so beginner compared to everyone else's quilts in the show. For some reason, I decided to submit mine anyways, and I'm so happy I did!

The pattern of this quilt is called "The Positive Side" by 3rd Story Workshop. This was my artist statement for the quilt:

I asked some friends and family to come to the quilt show too, just for the extra support. I also got such nice compliments on my quilt from my friends in the guild!

I also made a little mini quilt as part of a "challenge" that I entered into the show as well. This one was part of a judged challenge, and I didn't place but I'm still so happy with the little mini quilt I made.

Everyone says how supportive and kind the quilting community is, and I'd have to agree! I had such a great experience having my quilts in this quilt show, and this was my first time ever doing that! I definetly would like to have my quilts in another show sometime in the future. I think my guild is doing another quilt show next year, so I have some time to make another quilt I'm proud to show off.
